Ingredients
- 2 racks pork spare ribs (about 4 lbs total)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Pat dry with paper towels.
- Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne. Rub evenly over ribs.
- Place ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil. Cover tightly with another sheet of foil.
- Bake for 2.5 hours until tender.
- In a small bowl, combine barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and honey.
- Remove ribs from oven, increase temperature to 400°F (200°C). Uncover ribs and brush with sauce mixture.
- Return to oven, uncovered, and bake for 10-15 minutes until glaze is sticky and caramelized.
- Let rest 5 minutes, then cut between bones to serve.

- For a smokier flavor, add 1 teaspoon liquid smoke to the sauce.
