Ingredients
1 lb pizza dough, at room temperature
1/2 cup tomato sauce
2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup grated pecorino Romano cheese
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside for at least 30 minutes.
On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll dough into a 12-inch round, about 1/4-inch thick.
Transfer dough to a floured pizza peel or parchment paper. Spread tomato sauce evenly, leaving a 1-inch border.
Sprinkle mozzarella, Parmesan, and pecorino over sauce. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle oregano.
Slide pizza onto hot stone or baking sheet. Bake until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly, 10-15 minutes.
Let cool 2 minutes, garnish with basil if desired, slice, and serve.
Tips
For extra crispiness, par-bake the crust for 3 minutes before adding toppings.
Use fresh mozzarella for a creamier texture, but pat dry to avoid sogginess.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days; reheat in a hot oven or skillet.
