Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz sliced pepperoni
- 4 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside for at least 30 minutes.
- On a floured surface, stretch or roll pizza dough into a 12-inch round. Transfer to a floured pizza peel or parchment paper.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Arrange pepperoni slices and mushroom slices over the cheese. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle oregano and red pepper flakes if using.
- Slide pizza onto preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
Tips
- For a crispier crust, par-bake the dough for 3-4 minutes before adding toppings.
- Store leftover pizza in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in a 375°F oven for best results.
