Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let stand for 5 minutes to bloom.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture is hot and sugar dissolves, but do not boil.
  3. Remove from heat. Add bloomed gelatin and stir until completely dissolved. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Divide mixture among four 6-ounce ramekins or glasses. Refrigerate until set, at least 4 hours or overnight.
  5. For the berry sauce: In a small saucepan, combine berries, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until berries break down and sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Strain if desired. Cool completely.
  6. To serve, run a knife around the edge of each ramekin and invert onto a plate, or serve in the glass. Spoon berry sauce on top.
