Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil, softened
1 tablespoon orange zest
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
Optional: 1-2 drops orange food coloring
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine sugar and softened coconut oil. Mix until well blended.
Add orange zest, vanilla extract, and orange juice. Stir until a thick, moldable dough forms. If desired, add food coloring and mix until evenly colored.
Scoop about 1 tablespoon of mixture and roll into a ball. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough.
Gently press each ball with a fork to create a crisscross pattern, flattening slightly into a cookie shape.
Let the cookies set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or refrigerate for 15 minutes until firm.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
Tips
Use in the shower: gently rub a cookie on damp skin to exfoliate, then rinse.
Avoid using on broken or irritated skin.
For a gift, wrap each cookie in wax paper or place in a decorative jar.
