A simple, natural mouthwash made from common kitchen ingredients to freshen breath and support oral health.
Ingredients
- 1 cup filtered water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 drops peppermint essential oil
Instructions
- In a clean glass jar, combine the filtered water, baking soda, and sea salt.
- Add the peppermint essential oil and stir until the baking soda and salt are fully dissolved.
- Store in a sealed container at room temperature. Shake well before each use.
- Use as a mouthwash: swish about 2 tablespoons in your mouth for 30 seconds, then spit out. Do not swallow.
Tips
- For a stronger flavor, add 1 drop of tea tree essential oil (antibacterial).
- Discard after 1 week and make a fresh batch.
- Do not use more than once daily to avoid disrupting oral microbiome.
