Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup M&M's candies
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, beat butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar with an electric mixer until creamy, about 2 minutes.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla extract.
Add baking soda and salt; mix until combined. Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and M&M's until evenly distributed.
Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough (about 1.5 inches) and place 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets. Flatten slightly with the back of a spoon.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are still slightly soft. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Tips
For chewier cookies, chill dough for 30 minutes before baking.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
Can substitute crunchy peanut butter for extra texture.
