Ingredients
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together orange juice, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, cilantro, jalapeño, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Place the steak in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, turning to coat evenly.
Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to 8 hours for more flavor.
Remove steak from marinade and discard excess marinade. Grill or cook as desired.
Tips
This marinade works best with flank steak, skirt steak, or sirloin.
Reserve a small amount of marinade before adding raw meat to use as a finishing sauce, but do not reuse marinade that has touched raw meat.
Store leftover marinade in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
