Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cloudberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups vodka (40% ABV)
Instructions
- Rinse cloudberries if fresh; thaw if frozen. Place berries in a clean glass jar.
- Add sugar and vodka to the jar. Seal tightly and shake well to dissolve sugar.
- Store in a cool, dark place for at least 2 months, shaking the jar weekly.
- After 2 months, strain the liqueur through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean bottle. Discard berries.
- Let the liqueur rest for another week before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Tips
- Use a high-quality vodka for best results.
- Cloudberries can be substituted with lingonberries or raspberries.
- Store in a cool, dark place; the liqueur will keep for up to a year.
