Ingredients
10 dried red chili peppers (e.g., Thai bird's eye or arbol), stems removed
1/2 cup roasted peanuts
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Cut the dried chili peppers into 1-inch pieces, shaking out seeds if desired.
2. In a small skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add chili pieces and peanuts; fry, stirring constantly, until peanuts are golden and chilies are slightly darkened, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and stir in sesame oil, honey, and salt until well coated.
4. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to cool completely before using as a garnish.
Tips
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
