- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 4 cups cooked white rice
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup chopped spinach (or baby spinach)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.

- Divide rice among 4 bowls. Top with beef, shredded carrots, spinach, and green onions. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately.
Tips
- Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- Add a fried egg on top for extra richness.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To make it spicy, add gochujang (Korean chili paste) to the sauce.
