Ingredients
- 1 cup hot brewed coffee
- 1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey (e.g., Jameson)
- 1 to 2 teaspoons brown sugar (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream, lightly whipped
Instructions
- Warm a heatproof glass or mug by filling with hot water; let stand for a minute, then discard water.
- Add brown sugar to the warm glass, then pour in the hot coffee and stir until sugar dissolves.
- Stir in the Irish whiskey.
- Gently pour the lightly whipped cream over the back of a spoon held just above the coffee surface so it floats on top.
- Serve immediately without stirring.
Tips
- For best results, use freshly brewed strong coffee.
- The cream should be lightly whipped to a pourable consistency, not stiff.
- To float the cream properly, pour it over the back of a warm spoon.
