Ingredients
2 tablespoons chicken bouillon powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon MSG (optional)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine all dry ingredients: chicken bouillon powder, onion powder, garlic powder, ground ginger, white pepper, sugar, turmeric, paprika, and MSG if using. Mix well.
Add vegetable oil and stir until the mixture resembles wet sand and holds together when pressed.
Transfer the mixture into a small silicone ice cube tray (each cube about 1 teaspoon capacity) or shape into 12 small blocks by hand. Press firmly to compact.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set. Remove from tray and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month, or freeze for longer storage.
Tips
Use one block per serving of noodles: dissolve in 1 1/2 cups boiling water.
Customize by adding dried chili flakes or sesame seeds.
For a vegetarian version, replace chicken bouillon with vegetable bouillon.
