Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves or 1 tea bag
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1-2 teaspoons sugar or honey, to taste
- 1-2 slices fresh lemon for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan or kettle.
- Add tea leaves or tea bag to a cup. Pour the boiling water over the tea and let steep for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove tea leaves or tea bag. Stir in lemon juice and sugar or honey until dissolved.
- Garnish with lemon slices if desired. Serve hot.
Tips
- For a stronger tea flavor, steep for an additional minute.
- Adjust sweetness and lemon juice to your taste.
- This tea can also be served iced: let cool, then pour over ice.
