Ingredients
24 chicken wings, tips removed, drums and flats separated
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup hot sauce (e.g., Frank's RedHot)
2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Spray rack with nonstick spray.
In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Pat wings dry, then toss in flour mixture to coat evenly. Shake off excess.
Arrange wings in a single layer on the rack. Bake for 45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
While wings bake, make sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in hot sauce, cayenne, brown sugar, and Worcestershire. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Transfer baked wings to a large bowl. Pour sauce over wings and toss to coat thoroughly. Serve immediately with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing.
Tips
For extra crispiness, let wings rest in fridge uncovered for 1 hour before baking.
Adjust cayenne to your heat preference; reduce for milder wings.
Leftover wings can be reheated in an air fryer at 375°F for 5 minutes.
