Ingredients
1 cup water
1 green tea bag (or 1 teaspoon loose green tea)
1/2 lemon, juiced (about 1 tablespoon)
1 teaspoon honey (or to taste)
1 thin lemon slice (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan or kettle.
Pour the hot water into a mug and add the green tea bag. Steep for 2-3 minutes, then remove the tea bag.
Stir in the lemon juice and honey until the honey is dissolved.
Garnish with a lemon slice if desired. Serve hot.
Tips
For a stronger lemon flavor, add a strip of lemon zest while steeping the tea.
Adjust honey to your preferred sweetness.
Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor; bottled lemon juice may taste bitter.
