Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 ounces dark chocolate (60-70% cocoa), finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, whisk together the milk, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat, whisking occasionally, until hot but not boiling.
- Add the chopped chocolate and continue whisking until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour into mugs and serve immediately.

- For a dairy-free version, use almond or oat milk and dairy-free chocolate.
