Ingredients
1 (8-10 lb) fully cooked bone-in spiral-cut ham
1 cup honey
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Place ham cut-side down on a rack in a roasting pan. Add 1/2 cup water to the bottom of the pan. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, and cinnamon. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
Remove ham from oven and increase oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Brush ham generously with glaze, getting between slices. Return ham to oven, uncovered, and bake for 15 minutes.
Brush with glaze again and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until glaze is sticky and caramelized. Let rest 15 minutes before carving. Serve remaining glaze on the side.
Tips
To prevent the glaze from burning, tent the ham with foil if it browns too quickly.
Leftover ham can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
For extra flavor, add a splash of orange juice or bourbon to the glaze.
