Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
1/2 cup water
8 hard taco shells
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup diced tomatoes
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup salsa
Instructions
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.
Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned, about 5 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Stir in taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
While beef simmers, warm taco shells according to package directions.
Fill each shell with beef mixture, then top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and salsa.
Serve immediately.
