Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup milk
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet or pot, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it apart. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic; cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour, paprika, salt, and pepper over the beef; stir and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in beef broth and milk, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in macaroni. Cover and cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender, about 10-12 minutes.
- Remove from heat. Stir in cheddar cheese until melted. Let stand for 2 minutes before serving.
Tips
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cayenne or chili powder.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- If the mixture becomes too thick, add a splash of milk when reheating.
