Ingredients
3 ripe avocados
1 lime, juiced
1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 Roma tomato, seeded and diced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Cut avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop flesh into a medium bowl.
Add lime juice and salt; mash with a fork to desired consistency (chunky or smooth).
Fold in red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and tomato. Season with pepper.
Taste and adjust salt or lime juice as needed. Serve immediately.
Tips
For best flavor, use ripe avocados that yield to gentle pressure.
To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole and refrigerate.
If making ahead, add the avocado pit to the bowl to help keep it green.
