Ingredients
4 (6-ounce) white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
4 leaves lettuce
4 slices tomato
1/2 cup tartar sauce
Instructions
Pat fish fillets dry with paper towels. In a shallow dish, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge each fillet in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add fish fillets and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Toast hamburger buns under the broiler or in a toaster until lightly golden.
Spread tartar sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato slice, and a fish fillet. Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
Tips
For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice over the fish before serving.
You can substitute tartar sauce with remoulade or aioli.
