Ingredients
- 1 pound pizza dough, at room temperature
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter and minced garlic. Set aside.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll pizza dough into a 12x8-inch rectangle.
- Brush the dough with half of the garlic butter. Sprinkle mozzarella, Parmesan, oregano, salt, and pepper evenly over the dough.
- Cut the dough lengthwise into 8 strips (about 1-inch wide). Twist each strip and place on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from oven and brush with remaining garlic butter. Sprinkle with parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Tips
- For extra crispiness, bake on a preheated pizza stone.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat in oven or toaster oven.
- Substitute gluten-free pizza dough if needed.
