Ingredients
4 cups water
2 black tea bags or 2 tsp loose-leaf black tea
2 tbsp honey or simple syrup, adjust to taste
1 cup mixed fresh fruit (e.g., diced mango, strawberries, kiwi, blueberries)
1 cup aiyu jelly, cubed (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 lemon, juiced
ice cubes
Instructions
Bring 4 cups water to a boil. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and let cool to room temperature. Stir in honey or simple syrup and lemon juice. Refrigerate until cold.
Prepare aiyu jelly according to package directions if using homemade, or simply cube store-bought jelly.
Divide the cubed aiyu jelly and mixed fruit among 4 glasses.
Fill glasses with ice cubes, then pour the chilled tea over the ice.
Stir gently and serve immediately.
Tips
Use any seasonal fruit you like; citrus segments and melon work well.
Aiyu jelly can be found at Asian grocery stores or made from aiyu seeds.
For a stronger tea flavor, use 3 tea bags or steep longer.
