Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
1 cup fresh orange juice (about 3 oranges)
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4 limes)
1 cup pineapple juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes to make a simple syrup.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Stir in orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, pineapple juice, and vanilla extract.
Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a clean bottle or jar to remove any pulp. Refrigerate until chilled.
To serve, mix 1 part fruit punch base with 3 parts cold water, sparkling water, or soda. Add ice and garnish with fresh fruit slices if desired.
Tips
Store the base in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
For a non-alcoholic punch, use ginger ale or lemon-lime soda.
Adjust sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup.
