Ingredients
1 pint vanilla frozen yogurt
1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup chopped walnuts or almonds
1/2 cup whipped cream
4 maraschino cherries (optional)
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine berries, honey, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until berries break down and sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Scoop frozen yogurt into 4 serving bowls or sundae glasses.
Spoon the warm berry sauce over the frozen yogurt.
Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
Add a dollop of whipped cream and top with a cherry if desired. Serve immediately.
Tips
Use any frozen yogurt flavor you like; vanilla works best.
For a dairy-free version, use coconut-based frozen yogurt and coconut whipped cream.
The berry sauce can be made ahead and refrigerated; reheat gently before serving.
