Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
1/2 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) or as high as it will go. Place a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet in the oven to heat.
On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll the pizza dough into a 12-inch round. Transfer to a piece of parchment paper.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Drizzle olive oil over the cheese and season with oregano, garlic powder, and salt.
Carefully slide the pizza (with parchment) onto the preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Let cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve. To freeze: after step 4, place the pizza on a baking sheet and freeze until solid, then wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil. Bake from frozen at 450°F for 18-22 minutes.
Tips
For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or fresh basil after baking.
Store frozen pizza for up to 3 months.
If baking from frozen, no need to thaw; just add a few extra minutes to the baking time.
