Ingredients
- 300g pasta (penne or fusilli)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 400g frankfurters, sliced into rounds
- 400g canned chopped tomatoes
- 200ml double cream
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 100g grated cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- Heat oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add sliced frankfurters and cook until lightly browned, about 4 minutes.
- Stir in chopped tomatoes, double cream, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to combine. Sprinkle grated cheese evenly over the top.
- Transfer skillet to oven and bake for 20 minutes until cheese is melted and golden. Serve hot.
