- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 (16 oz) can refried beans
- 1 (13 oz) bag tortilla chips
- 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 1 cup pico de gallo or salsa
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 avocado, diced
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Jalapeño slices (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain fat. Add taco seasoning and water; simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
- Spread refried beans over the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish or oven-safe platter.
- Arrange a layer of tortilla chips over the beans. Top with half the beef, half the cheese, and another layer of chips. Add remaining beef and cheese.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and top with pico de gallo, sour cream, avocado, olives, green onions, and jalapeños if using. Serve immediately.
