A dense, creamy frozen custard blended with mix-ins, inspired by the classic Midwest treat from Culver's. This recipe creates a thick, spoonable dessert that won't drip even when turned upside down.
1/2 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Optional: 1/4 cup caramel sauce or hot fudge for drizzling
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the ice cream, milk, and heavy cream. Stir vigorously with a sturdy spoon until the mixture is smooth and thick, but not melted (it should be the consistency of soft serve).
Fold in the crushed cookies and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Divide the mixture into 4 chilled serving cups or bowls. If desired, drizzle with caramel or hot fudge.
Serve immediately with a spoon. The concrete should be thick enough to hold its shape when the cup is inverted.
Tips
For a firmer texture, freeze the mixture for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Customize with your favorite mix-ins: candy pieces, nuts, fruit, or brownie bits.
Chill the mixing bowl and spoons beforehand to keep the concrete from melting too quickly.
