Ingredients
1 cup coarsely ground coffee beans
4 cups cold, filtered water
Instructions
Combine coffee grounds and water in a large jar or pitcher. Stir gently to ensure all grounds are saturated.
Cover and let steep at room temperature for 12-24 hours.
Line a fine-mesh strainer with cheesecloth or a coffee filter and set over a clean container. Pour the coffee mixture through the strainer.
Discard the grounds. Transfer the cold brew concentrate to a sealed container and refrigerate.
To serve, dilute with equal parts water or milk, and pour over ice. Adjust ratio to taste.
Tips
Use a coarse grind to avoid over-extraction and bitterness.
Store concentrate in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
For a stronger brew, increase steep time up to 24 hours.
