Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
2 cups beef broth
1 cup milk
1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cheddar cheese soup
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef with onion and garlic until beef is browned and onion is softened, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Add the uncooked macaroni, beef broth, milk, and condensed cheddar cheese soup to the pot. Stir to combine.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until macaroni is tender.
Remove from heat. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
Let stand for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly before serving.
Tips
For extra cheesiness, top with additional shredded cheese before serving.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk to restore creaminess.
