Ingredients
1 (8-10 lb) fully cooked bone-in ham
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Whole cloves for studding (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Place ham on a rack in a roasting pan. Score the surface in a diamond pattern and stud with whole cloves if desired.
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, and cinnamon to make the glaze.
Brush half of the glaze over the ham. Cover loosely with foil.
Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes, basting with pan juices every 30 minutes.
Remove foil, brush with remaining glaze, and increase oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Bake uncovered for 20-30 minutes more, until glaze is caramelized and internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
Let rest 15 minutes before slicing.
Tips
For extra flavor, add pineapple rings or maraschino cherries secured with toothpicks before baking.
Leftover ham can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
Serve with classic sides like scalloped potatoes or green bean casserole.
