Ingredients
1 lb chicken tenders
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Vegetable oil for frying
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
Set up a breading station: In a shallow bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, beat eggs. In a third bowl, combine panko and Parmesan cheese.
Coat each chicken tender first in flour mixture, then dip in egg, and finally coat with panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering (350°F).
Fry chicken tenders in batches, without overcrowding, for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 165°F). Drain on paper towels.
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, honey, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice to make the dipping sauce.
Serve chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce and optional sides like french fries, coleslaw, or pickles.
Tips
For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs; regular breadcrumbs can be substituted.
If baking, place breaded tenders on a wire rack over a baking sheet and bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway.
Store leftover tenders in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in an oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
