1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
1/2 cup red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 cup green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside for at least 30 minutes.
On a floured surface, stretch or roll the pizza dough into a 12-inch round, about 1/4-inch thick.
Transfer dough to a floured pizza peel or parchment paper. Brush edges with olive oil.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
Top with shredded chicken, bell peppers, red onion, and mushrooms.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the toppings.
Season with oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Carefully slide pizza onto preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips
For extra flavor, marinate the cooked chicken in Italian dressing before adding.
Substitute or add other vegetables like olives, spinach, or cherry tomatoes.
Leftover pizza can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in oven or toaster oven.
