Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups elbow macaroni
2 cups beef broth
1 cup milk
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
In a large skillet or pot, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet; cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Stir in flour, paprika, salt, and pepper; cook for 1 minute.
Pour in beef broth and milk, stirring constantly to combine. Bring to a simmer.
Add elbow macaroni; reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Let stand for 2 minutes before serving.
Tips
For extra flavor, use sharp cheddar or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
