Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough, at room temperature
4 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into 8 sticks
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a lightly floured surface, divide dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a 6-inch rope.
Press a mozzarella stick into the center of each rope, then pinch the dough around the cheese to seal completely, forming a breadstick shape.
Place breadsticks seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, oregano, and salt. Top with Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
Tips
For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the seasoning mix.
Leftover breadsticks can be reheated in a 350°F oven for 5 minutes.
If using homemade dough, ensure it is well-proofed for a lighter texture.
