  1. Cut beef into large chunks. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Brown beef in batches until deeply browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, add onion and bell peppers; cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, cumin, oregano, bay leaf, and broth. Stir, scraping up browned bits.
  5. Return beef to pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, until beef is very tender.
  6. Remove beef from pot and shred with two forks. Return shredded beef to the sauce. Simmer uncovered for 10-15 minutes until sauce thickens. Adjust seasoning.
  7. Remove bay leaf before serving.
