Ingredients
For coffee: 2 tablespoons coarsely ground coffee
1 cup water
For tea: 1 teaspoon loose tea leaves or 1 tea bag
1 cup water
Optional: milk, sugar, or lemon to taste
Instructions
For coffee: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil (200°F/93°C). Place the ground coffee in a French press or pour-over filter. Pour the hot water over the grounds, stir gently, and let steep for 4 minutes. Press the plunger down slowly (if using French press) or let drip through. Serve immediately.
For tea: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil (212°F/100°C). Place the tea leaves or bag in a cup or teapot. Pour the boiling water over the tea and steep for 3-5 minutes (depending on desired strength). Remove the leaves or bag. Add milk, sugar, or lemon if desired.
