  4. While sausages grill, return the skillet with onions and beer liquid to medium-high heat. Simmer until liquid reduces slightly, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve sausages on rolls topped with the beer-braised onions. Add mustard and sauerkraut as desired.
