Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned, about 5 minutes. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened, 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out puff pastry sheet into a 12-inch square. Cut into 4 equal squares.
  4. Divide the beef mixture evenly among the squares, placing it in the center of each. Top each with 1/4 cup cheddar cheese.
  5. Brush the edges of each square with beaten egg. Fold one corner over the filling to form a triangle, pressing edges to seal. Crimp with a fork.
  6. Place turnovers on prepared baking sheet. Brush tops with remaining beaten egg. Cut a small slit in the top of each for steam to escape.
  7. Bake until golden brown, 18-20 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
