Ingredients
2 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1 cup BBQ sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, mix baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add wings and toss to coat evenly.
Arrange wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake for 45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
While wings bake, whisk together BBQ sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil in a small bowl.
When wings are done, brush generously with the BBQ sauce mixture. Return to oven and bake for 5 more minutes until glaze is sticky.
Optional: For extra char, broil on high for 1-2 minutes, watching closely. Serve hot.
Tips
For extra crispiness, let wings air-dry in the fridge uncovered overnight before baking.
Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.
Leftover wings can be reheated in an air fryer at 350°F for 5 minutes.
