Ingredients
- 4 large ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk (dairy or plant-based, optional for creaminess)
Instructions
- Place the sliced bananas in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for at least 2 hours, or until solid.
- Transfer the frozen banana slices to a food processor or high-speed blender. Add the vanilla extract and milk (if using).
- Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. The mixture will be thick and resemble soft serve.
- Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 2-3 hours for a scoopable ice cream.
Tips
- For extra flavor, add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder or peanut butter before blending.
- Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week. Let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping.
