Ingredients
- 1/4 cup white rice (such as jasmine or basmati)
- 1 cup water or breast milk/formula
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a small saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is very soft and has absorbed most of the liquid.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Transfer the cooked rice to a blender or food processor.
- Blend until smooth, adding a little more water, breast milk, or formula if needed to achieve a thin, runny consistency.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Tips
- For a creamier texture, use breast milk or formula instead of water.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Always test the temperature before feeding to baby.
