Ingredients
2 frozen açaí puree packets (3.5 oz / 100 g each), broken into pieces
1 large frozen banana, sliced
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk)
1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional)
1 tablespoon peanut butter or almond butter (optional)
Instructions
Place the frozen açaí pieces, frozen banana slices, almond milk, and any optional sweetener or nut butter into a high-speed blender.
Blend on low, using the tamper to push ingredients into the blades, until the mixture is thick and smooth. Do not over-blend or it will become too thin.
If the mixture is too thick to blend, add a splash more almond milk (1 tablespoon at a time) until it just comes together.
Divide the base between two bowls and serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
Tips
For a thicker base, use less milk and a very ripe frozen banana.
Toppings: granola, sliced banana, berries, coconut flakes, chia seeds, and a drizzle of honey.
